PRESIDENT SAMIA APPOINTS Dr. KIWIA AS HESLB CEO

President Samia Suluhu Hassan has appointed Dr. Bill Kiwia to be the Executive Director of the Higher Education Students’ Loans Board (HESLB).

Dr. Kiwia takes over from Mr. Abdul-Razaq Badru who has been appointed Director General of the Public Service Social Security Fund (PSSSF).

A press statement issued by the State House Communication Directorate on Tuesday, February 6^th, 2024 said Dr Kiwia’s appointment is with effect from February 6^th, 2024.

Dr. Kiwia holds a PhD degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Leeds (UK), Msc in Finance from the University of Strathclyde(UK) and Advanced Diploma in Banking from the Institute of Finance Management (Tanzania).

Apart from teaching experience in areas of banking and finance, Dr. Kiwia is a professional banker having worked with various financial institutions including Exim Bank, Stanbic and the Central Bank of Tanzania (BOT).
